Wishing You A Joyful Thanksgiving!
We Are Sharing 11 Steps To Make Your Thanksgiving A Mindful And Happy One.
Greetings,
I'm Ariel, the founder of Artekura, and I would like to express my gratitude for a year of evolution and connection. This is a moment to pause and reflect, to give thanks, and to remember that it's important to live each moment with grace and presence. This can only happen when we are aware and make a conscious effort to truly be present in our lives - whether it's with our family, friends, work, or even in simple daily tasks like cleaning, cooking, and taking a shower.
Furthermore, I would like to share that, aside from selling Brazilian designs, I am also a mindfulness teacher. My practice of mindfulness has been transformative for me, and I would like to invite you to explore this journey of self-discovery and awareness during this important day.
Here are 11 steps to have a Mindful Thanksgiving:
-
Practice gratitude: Dedicate a few moments to reflect on the things you are grateful for in your life. Think about people, experiences, opportunities, or even small moments that have brought joy and meaning to you.
-
Gratitude Meditation: Find a quiet place where you can sit comfortably. Close your eyes and listen to your breath, allowing it to become calm and fluid. Once you are fully present, take a moment to notice your heartbeat. Gratitude is a state of mind, but it begins in the heart.
-
Savor Every Moment: As you gather around the table tonight with your loved ones, take a moment to fully appreciate and savor each precious moment of the meal. Instead of rushing through your food, embrace an intentional approach. Notice the vibrant colors of your food, inhale the delightful aromas, and express gratitude for everyone involved in bringing the meal to your plate, including the dedicated farmers and producers.
-
Connection with Others: In addition to setting aside time to truly connect with the people around you, it's important to cultivate a fundamental skill: listening attentively and being present in conversations. Ask questions, be interested, put the phone aside.
-
Take a mindful break: During the day, set aside a few minutes to take a mindful break and recharge your energy. An effective way to do this is to practice deep breathing and observe your thoughts and emotions without judgment. Be aware that you are aware.
-
Practice forgiveness: Take this moment to practice forgiveness, both for yourself and others. Release any resentment or hurt you may be carrying and make room for compassion.
-
Apreciate nature: If possible, spend some time outdoors and appreciate the beauty of nature. Observe the vibrant colors of the leaves, listen to the melodies of birds, and breathe in the fresh air. That alone can bring you so much gratitude.
-
Turn off the distractions: Disconnect from digital technologies and give full attention to the people around you and the things you are doing when you are doing them. Make a conscious effort to let go of distractions and be present in the moment.
-
Practice self-reflection: Take the time to reflect on your own emotions, thoughts, and actions. Identify areas for growth, perhaps write them down, and set positive intentions for the future.
-
Spread love and kindness: Share love and kindness through small gestures. Send messages of gratitude, call your loved ones, make donations, or help someone in need. If you have been busy and haven't been able to spread love and kindness as much as you'd like to, today is the day.
-
Conscious Shopping: When making purchases, consider the origin and impact of the products. Choose to support small local businesses and artisans who care about the quality and sustainability of their products. Reduce the use of plastic by opting for more eco-friendly and durable alternatives.
By following these steps, you will cultivate a mindset of gratitude and presence, bringing more meaning and connection not only on Thanksgiving but in every day of your life. May this be a time of love, gratitude, and harmony for everyone, not just during the holiday season but in every interaction and experience we share. As we practice gratitude and mindfulness, we can create an atmosphere of peace and kindness around us, positively impacting ourselves and others. Let's extend this practice beyond and make it an integral part of our lifestyle. May each day be an opportunity to spread love, cultivate gratitude, and nurture meaningful relationships.
