Lucas Caramês
Stdio Lucas Caramés Design Autoral is a Brazilian brand specializing in furniture and object design. It celebrates its roots with a minimalist and contemporary perspective, reinterpreting the history of Brazilian modernist furniture.
Its purpose is to create design with meanings and stories, through individual expression aimed at strengthening the collective. It seeks to transform people's daily lives by understanding their essence from a contemplative perspective.
Lucas holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Catholic University of Brasília - UCB (2015). He studied in the Furniture Design Summer Course at The Florence Institute of Design International - FIDI in Florence, Italy (2018). He is the Second Secretary of ADEPRO – the Association of Product Designers of Brasília.
In his own studio, he develops original projects and collaborates with companies in the furniture sector, reaching both national and international markets.
In 2022, he joined the group of exhibiting designers at the Casa Brasil NY Show, Brasil in Natura Terra Adentro, and also became part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Art of Brasília (MAB) with the Fachadas Coffee Table. In 2023, he was among the designers exhibiting at Fuorisalone Milano 23, again with the Fachadas Coffee Table, and launched his latest collection, Salvà, which reconnects with his origins.
As an Architect and Furniture and Product Designer, he does not merely seek the empowerment of good ideas, but rather aims to be part of a core group that seeks, shares, and preserves them.
He believes in original design as part of the constant pursuit of greater knowledge, always valuing the study of ergonomics and functionality.
Design consumption changes constantly, and as humans refine their consumption, they increasingly seek more personality, higher quality, and less quantity.
Original design allows for a balanced and express-free approach, built on exchanges, where reciprocity is key to fostering a true connection. This is what Design is, and this is what Stdio believes in.
