Born in the northern region of Minas Gerais, in the Jequitinhonha Valley, Zizu has at his core a deep connection with nature and a keen eye for the potential of the resources around him. The appreciation for artisanal work, combined with his life experiences in nature, shapes a body of work that is both historical and contemporary.
His creations, exclusively crafted from reclaimed wood, embody a choice for sustainability and a reverence for the history contained within, where tones and details are highlighted to preserve the authenticity of the wood. Employing traditional woodworking techniques with only joints and no screws, Zizu produces unique pieces imbued with their own marks and designs, each narrating its individual story.
