Yara Chair

The Yara chair emerged as a result of a research on steam bending of wood conducted by the studio in 2022. It is a chair without legs, supported by two solid wood circles that have been steam-bent. Yara is a flexible chair that adapts and changes in response to the act of sitting. Its sculptural form, simple lines, and disruptive elements challenge the status quo of a typical chair, arousing curiosity both for its construction system and its aesthetics. Composed of basic geometric shapes joined together with unexpected connections, the Yara chair presents two perspectives: a modernist and minimalist side, with light and simple geometry, and another that evokes the elegance of classical furniture.
