Maré Coffee Table
The Maré Coffee Table depicts a phenomenon of water transition. The tabletop is divided into three parts - and heights - simulating the arrival or retreat of the waves. The black base generates the notion of depth, where matter is dense, complex and mysterious, like a nocturnal ocean. The white spots, in opposition, recall the foam of the break, the becoming of the wave: stirred water, clarity and friction. The choice of a long, rectangular base contrasts with the undulating shapes that bring the table's layers to life. The furniture becomes a landscape for the room, or rather: landscape photography.
