Aruanã Armchair

The Aruanã Armchair, created in partnership with Vila Carnaúba (CE), expresses the union of contemporary design, sustainability, and Northeastern Brazilian narratives. Inspired by the Aruanã sea turtle, currently classified as near threatened in Brazil according to Projeto Tamar, the piece reflects references to the fauna and landscapes of the Northeast.

Crafted with certified and reforested wood, recycled aluminum, locally produced nautical ropes, crochet, recycled plastic straps, fabric, upholstery, and a mineral waterproofing treatment, the armchair preserves the natural appearance of its materials. Its production involves local artisans, integrating traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design while strengthening the regional economy.

More than a piece of furniture, the Aruanã Armchair represents memory, preservation, and positive socio-environmental impact.
