The design is shaped directly from the cylindrical cedar logs removed from the forest. As an invasive species, this project emerged as a way to make use of the cedar trunks removed over the years to help improve the overall health of the forest.
The stool is simple, functional, and practical, serving as an additional seat or side table. Its charred yakisugi finish highlights the natural beauty of the wood, enhances its durability, and makes it suitable for outdoor use.
